چکیده

 It is one of the most nutritious millet and staple food in different states of India and Pseudomonas sp. MSSRFD41  MSSRFD41 was isolated from finger millet rhizosphere soil samples. 16S rRNA gene sequence shows maximum 98.77% similarity and forms monophyletic clade with closely related species.  It produces 2,4-DAPG, HCN, AHLs, IAA, solubilises phosphate and tolerates 1 M NaCl.  Exhibits promising biocontrol activity against several fungal and bacterial phytopathogens.  RFLP analysis of phlD gene displayed unique patterns (G) with HaeIII and TaqI enzymes, which are polymorphic than Neighbour-joining tree based on 16S

Plant growth promoting Rhizobacteria: An overview

Numerous species of soil bacteria which flourish in the rhizosphere of plants, but which may grow in, on, or around plant tissues, stimulate plant growth by a plethora of mechanisms. These bacteria are collectively known as PGPR (plant growth promoting rhizobacteria).Of the microorganisms that parasitize on nematodes and reduce nematode populations by antagonistic behaviour, bacteria hold an im...

Plant growth promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR) improve plant growth, antioxidant capacity, and essential oil properties of lemongrass (Cymbopogon citratus) under water stress

Among abiotic stresses, drought is considered as the most important growth limiting factor, especially in arid and semiarid regions. Drought impacts can be adjusted by soil microorganisms. Accordingly, the present study was organized in order to the increase the tolerance of lemongrass (Cymbopogon citratus)to drought using plant growth promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR). Treatments were wa...

Cultivar and Metal-Specific Effects of Endophytic Bacteria in Helianthus tuberosus Exposed to Cd and Zn

Plant growth promoting endophytic bacteria (PGPB) isolated from Brassica napus were inoculated in two cultivars of Helianthus tuberosus (VR and D19) growing on sand supplemented with 0.1 mM Cd or 1 mM Zn. Plant growth, concentrations of metals and thiobarbituric acid (TBA) reactive compounds were determined. Colonization of roots of H. tuberosus D19 by Pseudomonas sp. 262 was evaluated using co...

An overview of plant growth promoting rhizobacteria and their influence on essential oils of medicinal plants: a review article.

One of the important and necessary practices for improving nutrients availability in sustainable agriculture is using microorganisms. Beside the negative effects of chemical fertilizers on the soil and human health, plant growth promoting rhizobacteria are known as an alternative to supply the organic nutrients of plants during the past two decades. Enriching soil fertility by eco-friendly meth...
